Mohammed Rizwan - possibly has the best tactical nous out of the 4, you see him working with his players and commanding the field, there is a strategy for the batting, which is him and Masood build a base, allowing the likes of Maqsood, Tim David, Rossouw to express themselves and swing through. Yesterday despite a slow start, we saw how he took the lead and opened up the game with that Umaid Asif over to let him middle/lower order to express themselves. His use of Khushdil has been exemplary.
Shadab Khan - Easily the most dynamic and aggressive out of the four, his team is run on mindset which is integral to IU's success, there is a 'do or die' attitude which Shadab has identified as a way to allow his power hitters to express themselves without fear of consequences, reminds of Wasim Akram's story where IK told him to just bowl fast and not care about no balls. Not to mention he leads from the front and sets the tone for his team.
Shaheen Shah Afridi - (Natural bias) but he has been fantastic, it helps that as a bowler himself, he seems to be aware what each bowler requires and we see the way he himself has developed Zaman Khan (a newbie) on his own whilst on the playing field. Not sure his contribution to the batting strategy which is yet to be seen. But early signs are extremely encouraging.
Babar Azam - Difficult to judge, the squad is almost 95% Railu Kattas and I do believe even Ricky Ponting wouldn't be able to create anything here and unfortunately it seems Wasim Akram has more sway in decisions. There has been some captaincy flaws, such as S Farhan not batting in the right place, lack of use of Qasim Akram etc.
Overall, I'm excited that the main Pakistan squad consists of these guys as the core, they're all leadership material and compliment each other beautifully. Tactically you have Rizwan, Mindset you have Shadab and for the bowlers you have Shaheen and to lead the pack as Shaheen said, you have our own 'Ertugrul' in Babar Azam.
