What if they pick up their bags all of a sudden and leave again without sharing any info with any of us?

Also good to have ODIs against strong teams in Asian conditions with 2023 only a year away now. Hopefully Babar and Rizwan can stack some massive scores too

It is should be a fun series if they actually stay this time. December/January is when NZ normally have their home season so good effort to get them scheduled for this time.

Pakistan's quest to reach the ICC World Test Championship final will go up a gear when the Asia side host New Zealand for a two-match Test series at the end of the year.

The Kiwis will be the third team to tour Pakistan in 2022 when they travel to South Asia in December, following successful series earlier this year against Australia and England.

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Monday that the first Test against New Zealand will start on December 27 in Karachi, with the second and final Test in Multan from January 4.

Pakistan currently sit in fifth place on the World Test Championship standings and will likely need to win the majority of their remaining five Test matches this period if they are to feature in next year's final.

Schedule:
First Test: 27-31 Dec – Karachi
Second Test: 4-8 Jan – Multan
First ODI: 11 Jan – Karachi
Second ODI: 13 Jan – Karachi
Third ODI: 15 Jan – Karachi
First T20I: 13 Apr - Karachi
Second T20I: 15 Apr – Karachi
Third T20I: 16 Apr – Karachi
Fourth T20I: 19 Apr – Karachi
Fifth T20I: 23 Apr – Lahore
First ODI: 26 Apr – Lahore
Second ODI:28 Apr – Lahore
Third ODI: 1 May – Rawalpindi
Fourth ODI: 4 May – Rawalpindi
Fifth ODI: 7 May - Rawalpindi

Do we really need 5 T20i's? After this WC, our complete focus should be the WTC and more importantly the ODI WC which is only around a year away.

Rather than play T20i's, rather we squeeze in another test v NZ so it would be a 3 match test series or play a handful more ODI's.

Honestly frustating, for me I'll probably not even watch the T20's, there has been such a major overkill recently.
I mean this year I guess it can be justified but why are we playing this many next year? Overkill is right especially if the PSL will be happening around that time too.

Good to see more ODIs. Playing ODIs in Asian conditions against a top ranked team is valuable when the India World Cup is coming

Aren't elections supposed to happen end of April? When are the elections scheduled in Pakistan? There's a big chance that the tour may get postponed one more time due to election activities

That is exactly why the schedule has been revised now. Elections are scheduled to take place on the 30th of April in Punjab. The Punjab leg of the tour will be done by then.

Please have some decent pitches in Rawalpindi. Don't want 500 score in 1 inning.
